Catling Ltd is a specialist building company focused on delivering high-end residential renovations, extensions, and new-build projects. APPROACH

Catling Ltd approached us to completely redesign and rebuild their website from the ground up. Their previous site didn’t do justice to the scale and visual quality of their projects. It was lacking both the structure to highlight their portfolio effectively and the flexibility to expand as new work was added. Our challenge was to craft a digital presence that felt as refined and confident as Catling’s own work. A site that would not only showcase their projects beautifully but also tell the story behind each build in a compelling way.

We immersed ourselves in Catling’s portfolio and brand identity. Exploring what makes their work distinctive and how that could be translated online. The goal was to create a modern, clean design that balanced sophistication with usability, allowing the imagery to speak for itself while ensuring the site remained intuitive and engaging for visitors.

ACTIONS

We designed a bespoke, minimal layout, that placed high-resolution project imagery at the centre of the experience. Complemented by full-width hero videos and carefully considered typography. We structured each product page to flow naturally, using modular content blocks and generous white space to guide the viewer through the story of the build.

From a technical perspective, we developed a flexible, future-proof backend system that allowed Catling to easily add new projects over time. We also worked extensively on optimising the client’s archive of images – resizing, retouching, and reformatting older assets to ensure consistent quality and fast load times across all devices. The final result was a responsive site that worked as beautifully on mobile and tablet as it did on desktop.

RESULTS

The finished website gave Catling a digital presence that truly reflects their reputation for quality and craftsmanship. Their portfolio became the standout feature of the site, presented through striking large-scale imagery and thoughtful storytelling. The new site not only elevates the Catling brand online but also provides a practical, scalable platform to showcase future projects, supporting their continued growth and inspiring confidence in prospective clients.
