Day in the life with our Digital Marketing Manager, Emmy!
Welcome to a day in the life at FDRY with our Marketing Manager, Emmy! As our new venture in 2024 centres on being a Digital Marketing Agency, we thought it would be fun to show you what our marketing manager gets up to.
Emmy joined the marketing team in September and since the team’s expansion in mid-November, her days have got busier and busier. A typical day consists of morning meetings with the rest of the marketing team, catching up with the design team and talking through client work with Andres before cracking on with her tasks in hand.
It is fair to say that Pret is Emmy’s Achilles Heel, and after a few pret stops, the day is almost over. Fortunately enough for us, WeWork are generous enough to bring in a variety of food and drink companies for employees to try and review. Leading up to Christmas we had MOTH cocktails after work! It doesn’t get much better than that on a Thirsty Thursday!
While this day is definitely glamorised, we hope it gives a fun insight into a day at FDRY.
FDRY Christmas Party

What more could you want from a Christmas party? Secret Santa… quizzes…delicious food and finally, lots of cocktails.
For our Christmas party, we started the evening off with some prosecco and a Christmas FDRY quiz (winner – Emmy). This was followed by a brisk walk down to Casa Do Frango for a big feast, before the evening was fittingly rounded off with cocktails at Victoria Marketplace.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New year. Bring on 2024!
Filming for Sakura

After concluding another successful month of social media marketing, it came the time to film for one of our most loyal and trusted clients, Sakura. Our previous social campaign for Sakura had gone down brilliantly well online, driving a considered and strategically planned audience to the Sakura pages across Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn.
After reviewing what had done exceedingly well on the Sakura pages in the previous campaign, filming commenced with the Sakura CEO, Damian, on topics such as bookkeeping, tax saving tips and specific services such as the Sakura Virtual Finance Director! The FDRY team soon got to work coming up with innovative ways in which content could be filmed in an engaging yet professional manner!
As the day concluded, a whole host of video content had been recorded ready for editing! We cannot wait for you to see the results, so be sure to check out the Sakura pages for content coming out this month!
FDRY at The Footy

Following the end of another successful week at FDRY some of the team got the chance to go to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea FC take on Brighton and Hove Albion!
Walking down the King’s road on the way to the match there was that distinctive buzz of anticipation that enveloped them, a palpable energy fueled by the shared enthusiasm of the team. Taking their seats after a few drinks inside the stadium, the FDRY team became part of the sea of blue, joining the passionate Chelsea faithful in cheering on their team.
As the match went through its phases Stamford Bridge resonated with the highs and lows of the game. The thrill of a well-executed goal, the collective gasp at a near miss, and the jubilation of a victorious outcome; a 3-2 win for the mighty blues!
Overall, what a fantastic time it was, a win for Chelsea to go along with another successful week at FDRY!
Women in Agency Forum

Following the end of another brilliant FDRY day, Andres and Emmy made the short tube journey to King’s Cross for the Women in Agency forum, hosted by the fantastic people at Women in Agency! After a few cheeky pics under some beautifully decorated trees in the surrounding area, they swiftly made their way into the building with real excitement.
As Emmy and Andres settled into the venue, they couldn’t help but notice the vibrant energy that echoed throughout the room. It was a lovely space where professionals from various backgrounds united through their shared passion for supporting women in advancing agency roles, coming together to share insights, experiences and chit-chat on agency life.
Along with the fantastic range of people at the event were the delicious nibbles and drinks provided by the people at Women in Agency! It is fair to say that Andres and Emmy couldn’t have enjoyed their time more! If you work in the agency business be sure to head down to their next event!
A Thirsty Thursday with FDRY

With the new-look FDRY team already bonding superbly, it came the time for our first winter Thirsty Thursday! After finishing work at 5:30, the team headed down to the second floor of the office to grab some much needed beverages! The pour-your-own-pint Camden Hells provided by the WeWork team is an office addition we are truly lucky to have. With a few of those in the tank, Jenga soon commenced, with Ben losing a little too quickly then he would’ve liked!
Following a few drinks and various games, the team headed over to The Palm House, Victoria, which is slowly but surely becoming one of our favourite post-work locations! After sitting on one of those high-seated tables the team were really relishing the true buzz of central London on a Thursday evening – the clinking of glasses and the sounds of celebration following another successful week!
As the night continued to unfold, the team made their way over to the Victoria Market Halls. A prime spot in the heart of Victoria popular with the agency crew. Following a few Honey Margaritas and Negroni’s came the conclusion of a night that will live long in the memory of the FDRY team! Here’s to the next one!

Following the commencement of the marketing sector and the start of Emmy’s journey at FDRY, the team decided that, as conversions continued to grow, the marketing team must expand to both effectively delegate the workload and exceed client expectations.
Katie is a recent graduate from Exeter University and joined our team as a Digital Marketing Creative!
Katie is an extremely valued member of our marketing team – Her work ethic and proactive mindset are motivating for all of our team and her eye for design work and strategic digital marketing is exceptional.
Ben is a recent graduate from Oxford Brooks University and has joined our FDRY Family as our Digital Marketing Creative.
Ben is an amazing addition to our marketing team – His strategic mindset and talent as a copywriter and creator are second to none, we already could not live without him.

The FDRY team were treated to a delicious afternoon of various beautifully baked breads and scrumptious award winning Pastel de Nata’s. We think it’s fair to say that real businesses brunch best!

Summer Dinner at The Palm House London

This Summer, the FDRY team took a trip to The Palm House London, Victoria, for our annual Summer get-together, experiencing a taste of 1930’s Miami! Just around the corner from our head office at 123 Buckingham Palace, it meant for a short walk following the conclusion of a busy day at the office!
As the team entered the restaurant, we were instantly immersed within the true Miami vibe, from palm trees to a live DJ, it was as if we were really in the infamous 305! Likewise, in true Florida style, the team were able to unwind with some delicious food and cocktails provided by the courteous staff at The Palm House, as out came plates stacked high with all-American classics, from generously filled burgers loaded with a variety of toppings of our choice to perfectly crisp fries.
Overall, bonds were strengthened and memories were created. Leaving The Palm House, it is fair to say the team carried a deeper connection, ready to infuse our work with the same energy and creativity we experienced during the day in a Miami inspired oasis!
Welcome Emmy

During summer, our founder, Andres, had what we would like to call a eureka moment! An idea that had rightly been brewing for some time within the busy environment of FDRY. Andres said to himself “why should we constrain ourselves to simply web-development, when we can be so much more, an agency that can do it all!” Henceforth, Andres set out a new path for FDRY, one that incorporated Digital Marketing as well as Web Development, an agency that could tackle any problem.
As a result, Andres set out to find FDRY a Marketing Manager, one who was hard-working, professional, yet still had that essential spirit of fun that was so important to the FDRY team. In stepped Emmy, who seamlessly fitted the brief, successfully creating a fluid and innovative marketing strategy, one that meant FDRY could stride into the marketing game with a justified level of swagger.
Since Emmy started, FDRY’s marketing presence has gone from strength to strength, with a range of client’s choosing to use FDRY as a way of revitalising their marketing strategies! We cannot wait for what’s to come in 2024!
MAD//Fest 2023

Some of the FDRY team had a day out of the office yesterday as we headed to MAD//Fest for a day of inspiration and innovation located in the Old Truman Brewery Brick Lane. This was a great opportunity for us a team to connect with others in the industry and take insight from in the advertising, marketing and tech world.
The brand innovation stage was particularly insightful, where we heard a variety of interesting talks in digital marketing and advertising. It was great to get out of the office and immerse ourselves MAD//Fest for the day – not to mention we definitely enjoyed the freebies!
FDRY Food Safari

It’s been a while since we last posted but we’re back! We’ve also added a few new members to our team so head to our about page to check out the new additions!
Not too long ago we decided we should immerse ourselves into one another’s cultures a little more and so the Food Safari idea came to life! Starting off with a cuisine all the way from South East Asia (as our project coordinator Amra is originally from Sri Lanka), the team had their first taste of Sri Lankan spices (emphasis on spice).
We began with a few starters including yummy mutton rolls, samosas and crispy papadom. Followed by the main courses ranging from chicken kottu to prawn curry. Check out the photos to see just how delicious and flavoursome each dish looked. We can ensure you that it tasted even better than it seemed.

We somehow got through all of gloomy January, and with February whizzing by, we have finally come to Pancake day! We really couldn’t be more excited about it. We headed down to the shops to buy ourselves some Nutella and strawberries, but ended up coming across a salted caramel spread (which everyone went crazy over), and thought, you know what this needs? Some bananas.
We crafted perfectly the salted caramel and banana pancakes which we consumed in approximately 20 seconds, but they were the best 20 seconds we will have this week.
Our Foundry Family in Colombia also celebrated with us on this day! What could possibly be better than yummy pancakes? Yummy pancakes in Colombia.
The Foundry family were all clearly channeling some banana vibes for today.
We hope everyone had a wonderful pancake day, and here is a friendly reminder that you can also stuff your face with pancakes any other day of the year!

Italian born and ready to rock our office with his awesome man-bun and some serious web-developer skills, we couldn’t be happier.
After years of experience as a self taught computer programmer, he decided to go back into education to complete his degree. Lucky for us, he chose Foundry Digital to continue as a full time job.
We love welcoming creative geniuses into Foundry Digital, and we can’t wait to see the masterpieces that Andrea will be creating for all of our lovely clients!

Not that we ever need an excuse to make yummy food, but today Foundry Digital celebrated #FoodieFriday.
It all started with a couple of mugs of coffee and a plate of sweet potato muffins…
Then the banquet began to grow. Everyone contributed a dish or drink to the spread. Laura made some delicious caramelised onion and goats cheese tarts; sweet potato falafel and turmeric roasted chickpeas were thoughtfully prepared by Jodie; and Izzie baked some gooey sweet potato muffins.

Kicking it off, we’ve got Laura who is one of our Designers. Although you couldn’t quite guess it from her wardrobe (consisting mostly of black) or her last name (Gray), Laura loves colour. This week, we got her talking about colour and gender stereotypes, and as a huge advocate of gender equality she went full throttle telling us how powerful colour is as a medium when it comes to gender stereotypes.

Izzie and Jodie spent the morning at a Digital Marketing networking event in London Bridge, hosted by dotmailer. It was a fantastic opportunity to mix and mingle with some of the brilliant minds behind dotmailer, and also to meet with other industry experts.
The morning involved three brief but hugely interesting talks from some of the dotmailer team, who shared some of their knowledge on how the world of Digital Marketing is changing and the best ways to keep up with this. It was a great event, and not only because of the yummy breakfast!

We had a great time at the Po Zu Starwars shoes event at the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising last night.
Not only was it cool to celebrate the launch of the new Rey Boots and hear about their vision of an ethical & sustainable brand, but they sure know how to post a themed party! We met Princess Leia and Oola and had a great dance session from Stormtroopers.

We took ourselves down to Neverland for a Friday night team chill session as this Thames-side pop up beach promising deck chairs, beach huts, cocktail mixing and street food was too much for the Foundry team to resist.
After a week of non-stop rain, the sun decided to shine on our evening and we had a great time relaxing by the river as the sun set on another productive week at Foundry Digital.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week. At Foundry we know there are things we do in our everyday routines that help us keep a clear mind so that we can approach our work with energy and positivity.
Lunch breaks has been a trending topic recently, with the concerning revelation that a huge majority of UK city workers are eating at their desks instead of taking a lunch break.
The Foundry team are encouraged to take a break away from the office in their lunch hour. Although some days call for a stroll along the river, or picnic in the park, some of us choose to hit the gym. We find this activity helps our afternoons to be full of productive web work, whilst helping us keep fit.

Look who turned up to the Foundry office today.
